Dormicum is a member of a class of drug known as benzodiazepines.
Benzodiazepines are used for the short term treatment of anxiety, tension, agitation and panic disorders. Some of these medicines may also be used for the short term treatment of sleeping disorders. Dormicum is used for the short term treatment of insomnia.
Common side effects of Dormicum include drowsiness, dizziness, nausea, diarrhoea, constipation, vivid dreams, headache, dry mouth. Consult your doctor at once if mood or mental changes, changes in passing urine, changes in vision or yellowing of the skin or eyes occurs.
Dormicum may cause dizziness or drowsiness. Be careful when driving, using heavy machines or carrying out other hazardous activities. Do not drink alcohol as this can make you feel more sleepy and tired. Dormicum is potentially habit forming. Do not stop taking Dormicum suddenly.
