Acidum mefenamicum 500mg; excip. pro suppos.
Indicaciones
Pain and inflammation of locomotorial apparatus ; post-traumatic and post- operation pain; dysmenorrhoea; hypermenorrhoea (even due to intrauterine devices); pains; fever.
Contraindicaciones
Gastro - duodenal ulcer; hemorrhagic diathesis; known hypersensitivity to acetyl-salicylic acid; third trimester pregnancy; lactation.
Posología
Adults > 14 years: 1 tablet three times daily or 2 capsules 3 times daily. Max. 2g daily or 1 x 500mg suppository 3 times daily for 7 days max. Children 1/2-1 year: 1 teaspoon of Ponstan susp. 3 times daily or 1 x 125mg suppository 2-3 times daily. Children 1-3 years: 1 1/2 teaspoon Ponstan suspension 3 times daily or 1 x 500mg suppository 3 times daily. Children 3-6 years: 2 teaspoons suspension 3 times daily or 1 suppository 125mg 4 times daily. Children 6-9 years: 3 teaspoons suspension 3 times daily or 1 x 500mg suppository 1-2 times daily. Children 9-12 years: 4 teaspoons suspension 3 times daily or 1 suppository 500mg 2 times daily or 1 capsule 2-3 times daily. Children 12-14 years: 5 teaspoons suspension 3 times daily or 1 x 500mg suppository 3 times daily or 1 capsule 3 times daily. Children: only short term treatment except for Still's disease.
